Have you decided for yourself
if there is a Kangen Water Scam.

Important things to consider when buying a Water Ionizer:

Plate Size: In a nutshell, the Ionization chamber is the most important component in the machine. It has been called the engine. Here is how it works: Purified water flows between Platinum coated Titanium metal plates that have a strong electrical charge applied to them.

This electrical charge separates the water into alkaline and acidic waters and restructures the water molecules to be smaller which hydrate our cells more easily.

This is the LAST place you would want to skimp but most companies slash the quality here because it reduces the production cost. This allows them to give the illusion of a bargain machine

Solid versus Mesh Plates: Using Mesh plates slashes the cost of ionizer machines. However, “MESH” technology reduces the current carrying capacity and also potentially exposes the drinking water to the toxic plate material. Red Flag. Let me ask you a question…. Is the price reduction worth the health risk?

Pure Titanium versus Titanium Alloys: Metal alloys are a mix of two or more metals… such as Titanium and Aluminum. When the water, that flows through the ionization chamber, is exposed to the metal plates there are various of health risks because the metal toxicity (allergic reactions, hyperactivity and learning disorders in children, liver and nervous system damage.) Consider machines that use dangerous Titanium alloys a Red Flag.

Since Titanium alloys are about 1/10th the cost of high quality Titanium. Using Titanium alloys is a popular cost-cutting tactic.

Quality of the Platinum: The Platinum is the highest costing item in an ionizer. It’s used because of its high degree of electrical conductivity and also to fully cover the Titanium plates so that they are not exposed to the drinking water.

At $1,000 to $2,000 per ounce skimping on the platinum plating is an obvious target for cutting the cost of the unit. Inexpensive Platinum coated plates are typically purchased from the lowest bidder.

Power Supply: Transformers have routinely been used in medical equipment because of their reliability and continuous delivery of power. Because of cost-cutting tactics many companies use the switch mode power supply. Because it constantly switches on and off it helps prevent machines with insufficient plate size from over heating. However, this reduces the overall wattage to the all-important plates. This reduces ionization effectiveness.

Consider machines that replace reliable transformer power supplies with cheaper pulsed power supplies as a Red Flag.

Warranty: How long is the warranty and what types of things or conditions void the warranty? Be sure to read the fine print and look for things like ”Limited Warranty” or “Warranty voided if...” For example many companies voids their warranty if you live in a state that has hard water unless you use a reverse osmosis filter with your ionizer.

One popular company states, “All machines that are used for high volume applications such as weight loss/fitness, etc. will void the warranty.”

Deep Cleaning of the Plates: ALL Water Ionizers NEED periodic maintenance. Even the very best ionizers accumulate mineral deposits on the all-important conductive plates.

The basic “self-cleaning” cycles are not sufficient to keep the plates in optimal condition.

A machine that cannot have the plates “deep cleaned” is like having a car that couldn’t have the oil filter replaced. Insist on a company that allows for a “deep cleaning” of the plates. At the time of this writing, the Enagic (Kangen Water) machines can be sent to the manufacturer for a deep cleaning for $35. This is a reasonable cost to keep the machine running optimally.

Original Manufacturer: At the time of this writing Enagic (Manufacturer of Kangen Water) is the only Original Equipment Manufacturer in the water ionizer industry. Original manufacturers build their machines from start to finish in their own factory. Companies, that are NOT original manufacturers, either resell units, from other manufacturers, or buy components from the lowest bidders.

Beware of “Over Heat Protection” circuitry: Overheat Protection is only used in machines that have insufficient current carrying capacity to produce optimal ionization.

When you skimp on the plate size or plate mass you must protect the machine from overheating by using this kind of circuitry. If adequate plate size is used these protection circuits are not needed. Consider “Overheat protection as a Red Flag.

Reliability: Reliability is important to most people. Just like having a car that starts and takes you to where you want to go is important... so is having a water ionizer that consistently produces high quality alkaline ionized water.

A major part of reliability is having a company that backs their products with quality service. Original manufacturers are the best because they build their units from start to finish and control every stage of the process. Having a manufacturer that provides “deep cleaning” of the plates is essential to the long-life of your ionizer. Insist on a manufacturer that can provide periodic machine maintenance. Beware of companies that cannot provide necessary service. Red Flag.

Shop wisely, because many have bought bargain machines that couldn’t be properly maintained or services. This resulted in the quality of the water rapidly dropping off.

Let your health be your number 1 priority. Beware of bargain basement products when it comes to your health. You and your family deserve the very best!
